EFT Season 1 Quests Guide — All Kord Breach Tasks & Rewards

Updated 19 Aug 2026 · By Marcus Feld

Escape from Tarkov Season 1 — called Kord Breach — introduces a separate questline tied exclusively to the Seasonal Character. The chain starts through Prapor, passes through Fence and Mechanic, and ends with some of the most demanding Black Division farming in EFT history. Seasonal rewards you unlock during Kord Breach remain available permanently after the season closes on December 7, 2026, so finishing everything you want before that date matters.

Key points for EFT Season 1

  • All Kord Breach quests require a Seasonal Character — your permanent PvP and PvE profiles cannot progress them.
  • The main questline begins with Uninvited Guests – Part 1 from Prapor. You need Prapor Loyalty Level 2 before it becomes available.
  • Black Division appears on Shoreline, Streets of Tarkov, and Ground Zero 21+. On The Lab they replace Raiders entirely during Season 1.
  • Insurance is disabled throughout Kord Breach.
  • Hoard every Black Division drop — plate carriers, Tokens, SSDs, laptops, and unusual gear all feed later quests.
  • Forbidden Knowledge requires three 14-4 KORD SSDs found in raid.
  • Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing needs 18 Black Division kills across three maps while wearing qualifying Black Division armour.
  • Final Stretch and Consequences of Our Decisions use the same laptop and are mutually exclusive, but both routes currently reconnect at Desperate Assault.
  • Digital Puzzle rewards both a THICC Items Case and a THICC Weapon Case — the biggest single-quest stash upgrade in the season.
  • Season 1 ends December 7, 2026. It started August 3, 2026.

How to unlock EFT Season 1 quests

To access Kord Breach quests, create a Seasonal Character from the character selection screen. Seasonal PMCs progress independently from your permanent profiles. The first significant quest chain opens through Prapor once you reach Loyalty Level 2 with him and complete enough of the Tour story chapter to unlock Uninvited Guests – Part 1.

Therapist offers Unanswered Calls as a parallel early task that you can start alongside the Prapor chain. Starting the season late puts you behind on Black Division encounter levels, since many key enemies only appear for characters at level 21 or above.

EFT Season 1 starting quests

The opening quests involve moving specific items and visiting fixed locations. They are straightforward compared to what follows, but Uninvited Guests can drag across multiple raids if the BTR timing does not cooperate.

Uninvited Guests – Part 1

The first quest in the Kord Breach chain. Prapor asks you to locate a military equipment case on Shoreline. Three fixed spawns are possible:

  • The shack beside the Sordi radio tower.
  • Second floor of the Weather Station.
  • The Hydroelectric Power Station.

Once found, extract alive. The item sits in your quest inventory and does not take backpack space. Death before extraction means returning to Shoreline for another attempt.

Uninvited Guests – Part 2

Deliver the military equipment case to the BTR Driver. Both Woods and Streets work for the handover, but Woods gives you more room to wait safely away from other players. The BTR does not follow the same path every raid — find a safe holding position near a BTR stop and listen. Losing the quest item to death means replaying Part 1.

Do not treat this as a loot run. Focus on the handover and leave.

Unanswered Calls

Therapist sends you to Ground Zero with a letter. Place it at the second-floor reception desk inside the TerraGroup office building, then extract. If you already know the TerraGroup layout from previous sessions this takes one raid. Enter, climb to the second floor, place the letter, leave.

Cast the Net

Prapor gives you six Wi-Fi Cameras and splits them across three maps — two placements per location.

Map First Camera Spot Second Camera Spot
Shoreline Ural truck near the Hydroelectric Power Station Excavator near Smugglers’ Base
Streets of Tarkov Concrete mixer truck near Collapsed Crane Bio toilet near Rodina cinema
Ground Zero Cargo truck cabin near Mira Ave Yellow bus inside the underground tunnel

Cameras go into Special Slots, so carrying them does not cost bag space. You also do not need to complete all six placements in a single session — split by map and keep runs simple. Memorise every spot now because Reverse Gear sends you straight back to retrieve them all.

EFT Season 1 mid-game quests

The middle stretch shifts from location tasks to sustained Black Division farming. This is where the questline’s real grind begins.

Know Your Enemy

Hand over five Black Division plate carriers to Prapor. FiR status is not required for this delivery, so worn and looted carriers count. Start stashing every Black Division armour piece you find — Riding the Wave later requires specific FiR versions, so do not mix up what you give away here versus what you need to hold.

Reverse Gear

Return to all six camera locations from Cast the Net and retrieve each one, then hand them over to Prapor. Treat each map as a separate run. Completing this task also unlocks a Peacekeeper barter for Gatorz Specter MILSPEC glasses — the barter costs one Black Division Token.

Key to Understanding

Fence needs Black Division encryption keys. They drop from Black Division operatives, but not at a guaranteed rate from every squad — expect several raids of farming rather than a single clean run. Loot every Black Division body carefully instead of grabbing only weapons and armour.

What’s in the Bag?

Fence wants a Briefcase with documents. One reliable method uses five Black Division Tokens in the Cultist Circle to obtain the required briefcase — so hold onto Tokens from earlier raids rather than selling them. This is why hoarding unusual seasonal drops pays off: the questline keeps recycling Black Division loot in new objectives.

Forbidden Knowledge

Three 14-4 KORD SSDs, all Found in Raid, delivered to Fence. Do not confuse this item with ordinary SSDs. The seasonal version is specific and currently requires three copies. The Lab is the most consistent farm location since Black Division replaces Raiders there during Kord Breach, giving you more contacts per session than outdoor maps.

Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing

Eighteen Black Division kills split evenly across three locations, and you must be wearing a qualifying Black Division plate carrier during each kill.

Map Required Black Division Kills
Shoreline 6
Streets of Tarkov 6
Ground Zero 6
Total 18

Do not swap to normal armour mid-raid — the counter stops when you are not wearing a qualifying carrier. Keep repaired replacements ready because Black Division fights hard and armour degrades quickly. Force them through doorways and narrow angles rather than engaging entire squads in open ground.

The Season 1 choice: Final Stretch or Consequences of Our Decisions

After Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing, the questline splits. Fence offers Final Stretch and Mechanic offers Consequences of Our Decisions. Both revolve around the same laptop in the backyard of the Back to the 90s cafe on Streets of Tarkov. Picking up the laptop commits you — you must then decide who receives it. Completing one route makes the other unavailable.

The good news: both routes currently reconnect at Desperate Assault and both unlock the Profit Over Principles achievement. The only practical difference is the delivery method.

Final Stretch (Fence)

Retrieve the laptop from Streets, extract safely, and hand it directly to Fence. The simpler of the two routes — no Hideout processing required.

Consequences of Our Decisions (Mechanic)

Retrieve the same laptop but do not hand it to Fence. Use your Intelligence Center to decrypt the data, then deliver the result to Mechanic. The extra step makes this route slightly slower, but both paths lead to the same endgame content.

Pick whichever trader you prefer the reward from — the questline outcome is now effectively the same either way.

EFT Season 1 endgame quests

Desperate Assault

Mechanic wants 15 Black Division kills inside The Lab. Because Black Division replaces Raiders during Season 1, The Lab becomes a dedicated farming environment rather than a general threat-management run. Desperate Assault connects both choice routes to the late questline and opens access to Break the Chain.

Stay Clear of Blast Zone

Jaeger asks you to plant three TP-200 TNT bricks at breaches in the Health Resort perimeter fence on Shoreline. Follow the outer perimeter, place each brick at a quiet moment, and leave. There is no reason to turn this into a full Resort PvP run.

Break the Chain

Destroy four Black Division transmitters — two on Woods, two on Customs.

Map Transmitter Location
Woods High ground near Sniper Mountain
Woods Communication structure near Scav Bunker
Customs Industrial structure near construction area
Customs Power-line structure behind the Dorms side

Magnified optics help with spotting the smaller devices. A clear line of sight is enough — you do not need to physically climb each structure.

Digital Puzzle

Obtain a Black Division rugged laptop from seasonal content — this is separate from the Streets laptop used in the choice quests — then use the required Hideout processing to decrypt its data, and hand the result to Mechanic. The reward is the reason to finish this quest: both a THICC Items Case and a THICC Weapon Case. For a seasonal stash that is an extraordinary amount of storage from a single task. If the laptop drops during a raid, extract immediately. Losing it to greed is one of the worst feelings in Kord Breach.

Riding the Wave

Ragman‘s parallel task runs alongside the whole questline. It requires a collection of specific Black Division equipment with Found in Raid status:

  • First Spear Siege-R Optimized M.A.S.S. Plate Carrier (FiR)
  • Ferro Concepts FCPC V5 Plate Carrier (FiR)
  • Spiritus Systems LV-119 Plate Carrier variants (FiR)
  • Tasmanian Tiger Modular Pack 45 Plus (FiR)
  • Other listed Black Division equipment with FiR status

The Lab is the natural place to grind this alongside Desperate Assault — you can hunt equipment and progress Black Division kills at the same time. Check what Riding the Wave still needs before handing FiR carriers to Prapor during Know Your Enemy, because the two tasks want overlapping gear.

How to farm Black Division efficiently

Black Division farming sits at the centre of most mid-to-late Season 1 quests. Plan your map rotation around it:

  • The Lab — best overall. Black Division replaces Raiders entirely, meaning consistent contacts and quest progression across multiple tasks at once.
  • Streets of Tarkov — strong second choice for roaming squads and several quest-specific objectives.
  • Shoreline — required for Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing kills and some fixed placements.
  • Ground Zero 21+ — mandatory for six Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing kills.

Items to hold onto during Kord Breach

Several Season 1 quest items can drop long before their related tasks open. Never sell them for short-term Rouble gains.

Frequently asked questions

How do you start EFT Season 1 quests?

Create a Seasonal Character and reach Prapor Loyalty Level 2. Uninvited Guests – Part 1 then becomes available to start the main Kord Breach chain.

Can you complete Kord Breach quests in PvE?

No. Seasonal quests require a Seasonal Character and are completely separate from the permanent PvE and PvP profiles.

How many EFT Season 1 quests are there?

Seventeen in the currently documented Season 1 content, including two mutually exclusive choice quests. One character can complete one of the two choice routes, not both.

How many KORD SSDs do you need for Forbidden Knowledge?

Three 14-4 KORD SSDs, all Found in Raid. Hand all three to Fence to complete the task.

Where does Black Division spawn in Season 1?

Shoreline, Streets of Tarkov, and Ground Zero for Seasonal Characters at level 21 and above. Black Division also replaces Raiders inside The Lab throughout Kord Breach.

Should you choose Final Stretch or Consequences of Our Decisions?

Both routes now lead to Desperate Assault and unlock Profit Over Principles. Final Stretch is faster — you give the laptop directly to Fence. Consequences of Our Decisions requires Hideout processing first. Pick whichever trader reward appeals more.

When does EFT Season 1 end?

December 7, 2026. Kord Breach started on August 3, 2026. Seasonal Rewards you unlock before that date stay with your account permanently.
