Escape from Tarkov Season 1 Quests Guide — Kord Breach Complete Walkthrough
Updated 28 Aug 2026 · By Marcus Feld
EFT Season 1 Quests Overview
The Kord Breach questline is Season 1’s core progression system, running from August 3 to December 7, 2026. All quests must be completed on a Seasonal Character — your permanent PMC cannot participate. Insurance is disabled for Seasonal Characters, and the Black Division faction replaces Raiders inside The Lab.
The chain comprises 17 quests spread across Prapor, BTR Driver, Therapist, Fence, Mechanic, Jaeger, and Ragman. Two late-game quests — Final Stretch and Consequences of Our Decisions — are mutually exclusive, so choose carefully.
How to Unlock Season 1 Quests
- Create a Seasonal Character from the character selection screen
- Level up until Prapor reaches Loyalty Level 2
- Accept Uninvited Guests – Part 1 from Prapor to start the chain

Early Quest Details
Uninvited Guests – Part 1
Three possible case spawn locations on Shoreline:
- Shack beside the Sordi radio tower
- Second floor of the Weather Station
- Hydroelectric Power Station
Check all three in order. Extract alive — do not die with the quest item.
Uninvited Guests – Part 2
Hand the case to BTR Driver on Woods or Streets. Position yourself near a BTR stop before the vehicle arrives rather than sprinting across open ground after it.
Unanswered Calls
Stash Therapist’s letter at the second-floor reception desk inside the TerraGroup office on Ground Zero. The building is contested — clear it before interacting.
Cast the Net — Camera Locations
| Map | Camera 1 | Camera 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Shoreline | Ural truck near Hydroelectric Power Station | Excavator near Smugglers’ Base |
| Streets of Tarkov | Concrete mixer near Collapsed Crane | Bio toilet near Rodina cinema |
| Ground Zero | Cargo truck cabin near Mira Ave | Yellow bus in underground tunnel |
Important: Memorise every camera location now — Reverse Gear sends you back to all six spots later.
Mid-Game Quest Details
Know Your Enemy
Collect five Black Division plate carriers from kills. FiR status is not required for this quest, so you can hand over any carrier you find.
What’s in the Bag?
The Briefcase with documents can alternatively be obtained by placing five Black Division Tokens in the Cultist Circle — useful if you cannot find it in a standard raid.
Forbidden Knowledge
All three 14-4 KORD SSDs must be Found in Raid before handover. Do not sell any SSD until you have confirmed three FiR copies in your stash.
Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing
Kill exactly six Black Division operatives on each of Shoreline, Streets of Tarkov, and Ground Zero. You must be wearing a qualifying Black Division plate carrier at the time of each kill — kills without a carrier do not count.
Late-Game Quest Details
Final Stretch vs Consequences of Our Decisions
Both quests target the same laptop in the backyard of the Back to the 90s café on Streets of Tarkov. These two quests are mutually exclusive — choosing one locks you out of the other for the season.
- Final Stretch (Fence) — Faster handover. No Hideout processing required.
- Consequences of Our Decisions (Mechanic) — Requires decrypting the data in your Hideout before handover, but both paths unlock Profit Over Principles and lead to Digital Puzzle.
Break the Chain — Transmitter Locations
| Map | Location |
|---|---|
| Woods | High point around Sniper Mountain |
| Woods | Communication structure near Scav Bunker |
| Customs | Factory chimney near construction area |
| Customs | Power-line structure behind Dorms |
Digital Puzzle
Obtain a Black Division rugged laptop, decrypt the data via Hideout processing, then deliver to Mechanic. Reward: one THICC Items Case and one THICC Weapon Case.
Riding the Wave
Ragman requires specific FiR Black Division equipment including the First Spear Siege-R Optimised MASS Plate Carrier, Ferro Concepts FCPC V5, various Spiritus Systems LV-119 variants, and more. Check the full requirement list before handing anything to other traders — some Riding the Wave items overlap with Know Your Enemy.
Items to Always Keep
| Item | Why |
|---|---|
| Black Division plate carriers | Know Your Enemy and Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing |
| FiR Black Division equipment | Riding the Wave requirements |
| Black Division Tokens | Seasonal exchanges and Briefcase shortcut |
| 14-4 KORD SSDs | Three required FiR for Forbidden Knowledge |
| Black Division encryption keys | Key to Understanding |
| Briefcase with documents | What’s in the Bag? |
| Black Division rugged laptop | Digital Puzzle processing |
Never sell rare seasonal items just because their trader value looks appealing — many are quest-locked and cannot be rebought on the Flea Market.
Black Division Farming Priority
- The Lab — Highest Black Division density; core for Desperate Assault
- Streets of Tarkov — Roving parties + multiple seasonal objectives
- Shoreline — Fixed objectives + six Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing kills
- Ground Zero 21+ — Required for six kills in Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing
